We started Kisan Kanhaiya Caterers (KKC) as a small side-project in 2004, providing our services only to a niche clientele base—a network which we had gained through working for about two decades, at various roles and levels in the event industry. When we started KKC our aim was to fill the glaring market gap between the caterers in Lucknow who offered cheap pricing but inconsistent quality and pathetic presentation skills and the caterers who focused on quality and aesthetics but charged exorbitant pricing. KKC was meant to be an answer to those searching for catering services in Lucknow that provide great quality and presentation at an affordable pricing, and that’s how we positioned ourselves. In our inchoate stages, all the gigs we got were solely through our existing clients and referrals. But thankfully, the overwhelming support we received from our clients and the gigs we got through their word of mouth, helped us expand our business at a scale we never expected.
